Company Profile
Brent Casbolt Builders was originally established in Leongatha as a family partnership by Brent and Jodie Casbolt in November 2000. We quickly outgrew this financial structure and formally registered as a company in 2003, with Brent and Jodie as the majority shareholders.
The company has seen a threefold increase in the volume of business in domestic building, the majority of the work coming from referrals and private inspections of works in progress.
Our building construction model is based on using highly qualified, experienced tradespeople with the skills to deliver high quality homes. This policy is endorsed by the fact that seven architects have chosen us to build their client’s homes - in several of those projects we were the only builder considered.
Much of the company’s success is due to the fact that our services include project design and construction. This has the huge advantage of reducing planning and design timelines as well as costs.
The enthusiastic young management team consists of three building professional with over 50 years of experience between them. (It’s over 75 if you add the 3 together) We are in it for the long haul, focused and committed to building quality homes within budget and on time.
Peronal Profiles
Brent Casbolt - Managing Director
Brent has been in the building industry for over 22 years and enjoys all the challenges that the job has to offer.
He left the family farm in Gippsland to take up an apprenticeship in Melbourne working on prestige homes and commercial buildings for Dance Bros. On completing his apprenticeship he returned to Leongatha to further his industry knowledge and skills, working as a carpenter for 10 years before establishing his own building business in 2000.
Brent is a qualified registered Domestic and Commercial Builder with vast experience encompassing multi-level building in a large range of styles and materials.
In the country, where everybody knows everybody, reputation is the key to success. Under Brent’s leadership the business has grown rapidly to a multi-million dollar turnover based mainly on referrals - especially in the architect-designed sector of the market.
As Brett says: “The ability to make well informed, accurate, customer-focused decisions quickly ensures construction efficiency and encourages quality workmanship from all our self- motivated employees and sub-contractors.”
Geoff Baudinette - Project Manager
Geoff has been employed in the Construction Industry for over 25 years - as an apprentice carpenter, carpenter, site foreman, estimator and project manager.
Quality workmanship is the only approach to a project Geoff knows; it not only makes him a natural choice for our management team, it means all our carpenters and sub-contractors know what is expected of them, and they find it a pleasure to work on his jobs and be a respected member of a quality team.
Geoff’s building knowledge and pleasant professional manner result in positive client relationships and encourages their participation throughout the building process. His ability to guide our clients through the decision-making process without stress is an attribute they quickly appreciate through the planning and construction stage of their home.
Don Casbolt - Estimator/Engineer
Don has a diploma in Civil Engineering and returned to the building industry to assist with estimating, planning, surveying and foundation issues.
With over 30 years in construction, Don’s experience is invaluable in negotiations with all the various authorities, architects, draftsmen, building surveyors, design engineers and soils technicians etc. to reduce planning costs and time.
Importantly, Don’s experience in business finance, insurance, estimating and OH&S requirements frees up Brent and Geoff to concentrate on the building issues and ensures more efficient project management.

The market is awash with environmentally friendly building products and we have been fortunate in being selected to build several homes with European designed products.
Our experience has taught us not to take manufacturers claims for granted but critically access each product to ensure it complies with local building regulations and conditions. From a Heat-Pump hot water service to a complete solar system powering your home, with surplus power feeding back into the grid, the choice is yours, the efficient installation is our privelidge.
